smart connected vehicles have been operating at the archaeological ruins city of liangzhu in yuhang district, hangzhou for a month, marking the launch of the city's first autonomous driving scenic tour service.
the autonomous vehicle service, powered by hikvision's smart connected vehicle technology, has been providing stable and efficient transportation to tourists visiting the heritage site since its initiation in september.
the cars, operating at a level 4 autonomy standard, have been granted hangzhou's first functional testing license for passenger-carrying autonomous vehicles. they employ a range of onboard sensors to navigate their surroundings and independently travel at speeds of up to 15 kilometers per hour.
in cases of visual blind spots due to obstructions or unique road conditions or in response to the erratic behavior of other vehicles, the vehicles can adeptly utilize digital road perception technology to navigate complex scenarios.
human safety operators are present only for rare exceptional circumstances, ensuring a safe and enjoyable passenger experience.
