cultural relics tell stories of the silk road

the china national silk museum will open themed exhibitions on the silk road, local media reported on june 16.
the exhibitions are a major part of the silk road week to be held in hangzhou from june 19 to 24 and will include a wide range of cultural relics and documentation from home and abroad, bringing to life the ancient stories along the road.
the silk road week was initiated in 2019 in celebration of the chang'an-tianshan corridor of the silk road being inscribed on unesco's world heritage list on june 22, 2014. the week is held around that day every year.
