riverbank is a city in stanislaus county, california, united states with a population of about 20,000 and an area of 10 square kilometers. it was originally a ferry, but became a town with the arrival of the santa fe railroad. its official nickname is "the city of action".
every october, it holds a two-day wine and cheese festival to showcase its local wine and cheese products.
it established sister-city relations with fuyang district, hangzhou on april 13, 2004.
