ahead of the third global digital trade expo, which will take place from sept 25 to 29 in hangzhou, a pre-expo supply and demand matchmaking event was held on sept 13 to more precisely connect exhibitors and buyers.
the event brought together business representatives from countries like australia and saudi arabia to discuss their needs directly with companies, resulting in 15 preliminary deals worth 1.36 billion yuan ($191.7 million).
the expo has attracted over 1,500 exhibitors, including 266 international companies, 30 fortune 500 companies, and 25 forbes 100 enterprises. around 48,000 professional visitors from 62 countries are expected to attend, with 4,861 coming from overseas- significantly more than in previous years.
to improve the accuracy of business matchmaking, hangzhou has introduced a new curator mechanism at the expo. each pavilion curator connects exhibitors and buyers by creating digital profiles and generating supply and demand lists, ensuring better alignment of needs. over 700 buyers with clear purchasing requirements, totaling more than 100 billion yuan, have already been identified.
the global digital trade expo will feature various activities, such as investment negotiations, industry reports, and thematic events like silk road e-commerce day and africa day. the expo will also include innovative showcases like a digital human debate competition, highlighting cutting-edge technologies in digital trade, green development, and low-altitude economies.
