a population of wild ganoderma sinense was discovered recently in the village of liyang, lishang township, chun'an county, near qiandao lake.
over a dozen clusters of the wild mushrooms were observed on the base of a large dead maple tree and within a three to five-meter radius around it. the black-brown lacquer-like sheen is present on both the cap and stem of the mushrooms.
he ciping, a researcher at the chun'an microbial research institute, said that the presence of ganoderma sinense in the county is relatively rare, and the discovery of such a substantial population is truly extraordinary.
he mentioned that chun'an is the largest county in zhejiang province, with vast expanses of forest and a pristine ecological environment, providing an ideal habitat for a diverse range of wild mushrooms, many of which possess significant medicinal value.
